ABOUT RWANDA:-

Rwanda is a small country, located near the center of Africa. It is separated from DR Congo by Lake Kivu and Ruzizi River valley; it is surrounded to the north by Uganda, to the east by Tanzania, and to the south by Burundi.

Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda located at Rwanda's geographical heart. It sprawls across numerous hills, ridges and valleys. It is a thriving African city immediately notable for its cleanliness, orderliness and hospitality. It is a safe and friendly city and home of Twas, Tutsis and Hutus. Kigali is made up of three districts namely Gasabo, Kicukiro and Nyarugenge. This trip takes you on a cultural tour and a true epic adventure that will delight, enlighten and blow your mind. Rwanda culture and values:-
Rwanda has three groups (Hutu, Tutsi and Twa) based on historical origins. There are no cultural difference between the ethic groups and all live together, speak similar language (Kinyarwanda) and practice majorly the same religion (Christianity).Intermarriage between the 3 groups is very common. Rwandans use music and dance as an integral part of their traditional ceremonies, social gatherings, festivals and story telling. Intore dance is the most famous traditional dance. Join us and learn their historical origins, customs, traditions and way of life. 90 percent of Rwanda population is of Hutu ethnic group, 9 percent Tutsi, and 1 percent Twa.

Language:- - most Rwandans can speak some English or Swahili in addition to their mother tongue (Kinyarwanda).

Landscape:-
Rwanda is know as 'the land of a thousand hills' because of its endless and mesmerizing lush vegetation and mountainous landscape. All West and central regions of the country are dominated by beautiful mountains.

Rwanda Genocide history:-
The Rwandan genocide took place over a time span of 100 days, between April and July, 1994. It began with mass killings in Kigali, but over the course of its 100-day duration, killing spread to all corners of the country killing an estimate of 800,000 people. Join us for this memorable trip and learn about the victims, perpetrators, how and why this happened and the lessons there in.

Itenary

Day 1
  • Departure _ 17th Oct: - Nairobi to Busia border > Busia border to Kampala Leave Nairobi at 4:30 pm with evening bus to cross the Busia border at Midnight.

Day 2
  • Kampala to Katuna border > Katuna to Kigali Arrive in Kampala in the early morning around 6am, brief stop, buy breakfast and proceed with Journey to Rwanda from 7:00am. Will arrive in Kigali at around 5pm then proceed to check in freshen up and have dinner while enjoying the atmosphere and landscape of Rwanda's green hills. Kigali Night Life party - Part 1 (Optional). Sleep at own pleasure

Day 3
  • Discover Rwanda part 1 – Culture and Museum Tours Early Morning Breakfast followed by a full day tour Visit the national history museum and Genocide Memorial Center in Rwanda to explore exhibition details of Rwandan history at the memorial gardens. Kigali Genocide Memorial museum contains the memories of over 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide where more than one million Rwandans were killed. The museum is an educational and peace- building initiative. Visit Kigali Cultural Village and enjoy Rwandan heritage treasures and different traditions and lifestyle. Buy Rwandan souvenirs and gifts at cultural shops We will drive back to the hotel at 5pm for Dinner & own free time. Kigali Night Life experience - part 2 (Optional) - Sleep at own pleasure

Day 4
  • Early Morning Breakfast followed by Mt Kigali morning Hike and full day excursion tour of Rwanda’s capital City, Kigali to catch panoramic views of the city from different vantage points. Experience beauty, history and way of life in a new city. Tour the landmark spots such as Rwanda Convention Centre. Enjoy sight of energetic arts scene with visit to Inema Art center Tour Kigali gift shops for Rwandan Souvenirs Drive back to the hotel at 3pm and sign out. Return road trip to Kampala starts at 6pm

  • Kampala city stopover Arrive in Kampala in the early Morning, 6am. Kampala city – Walking tour to the landmark spots. Kampala - Nairobi return road trip leaving at 6pm
